Lithuanian dishes
You can find Lithuanian dishes, such as cepelinai (meat-filled potato dumplings), kugelis, vėdarai, šaltibarščiai, balandėliai (meat with rice is wrapped in cabbage), koldūnai, blynai, šaltiena (boiled and then cooled pig feet, ears), in the majority of Kaunas caffes and restaurants. Most of the these dishes are eaten with cracklings (fried bacon) and sour cream, which is why it‘s said that the Lithuanian kitchen is very rich and full of calories.
