A Century Fire Place

The fire was extinguished by the enormous powers of firemen and volunteers in four days... Actually, the place of fire appeared horrific. At the moment, part of the fire place is clean, while another part is left for the pries to look at and for the natural process to happen – the remaining stools will rot themselves, as in case of unrooting them all, the sand is going to start “walking”. A wooden path of about 1 km length is built at the place of fire together with informational stands. It seems that such an accident should not be exposed as an attraction, but it is believed, that “exposition” of the fire place shall have an educational value and show how the nature recovers naturally after such disasters.
After this event, the security is strengthened in the forests of the Curonian Spit, the groups of security officers are watching, therefore, one rather not throw the match there.
