How do you make phone calls?
Public phones
It’s as simple as that – you buy a phone card and phone. Remember that you can make calls only with a card. The cards are sold at press kiosks, post offices and supermarkets. The cards cost nine to thirty Litas. Prices for calls differ greatly – from thirty, forty or ninety cents to two or three Litas. The most expensive calls are those made to mobile operators or to foreign countries. Call 8~193 for information on international phone codes (the call costs 2.48 Lt). If you have friends in Lithuania you can make collect calls but only to land lines. Dial 8~191 and dictate the phone number to the operator.
