Summer weather in Klaipėda region
What kind of weather can be expected at the seashore during the warm season? Well, a heat wave might not tire you out; an optimist would say, it’s pleasantly not too hot, the pessimist would say, it’s cool as if it weren’t summer. One typical remark – the weather is unstable. Beginning with spring, the weather in some years may be consistently cold, or consistently warm. Frequent Arctic air encroachments in spring, especially in May, create perfect conditions for frosts. Summer, unfortunately, is also considered mildly warm. The mid temperature for July wavers around 17 degrees Celsius. And the Klaipėda region is even cooler because of the not very warm Baltic Sea. Going further from the sea, the air temperature rises. As far as summer storms during this time, almost half of the yearly precipitation occurs at this time. So, the daily warmth might not spoil you, but on the other hand, you won’t have to fight off humidity. More sun and warmth can be expected in Neringa because there, compared with the rest of Lithuania, there are more sunny days per year.
