The Conferences are Becoming more Popular
When the weather gets cold, more and more business people flow into Lithuania to organize conferences, seminars, to solve pressing problems, to weigh decisions.
They are drawn by the environs of high class hotels, nurtured nature corners and good food. We still lack a large, suitable infrastructure for premises to hold international events, but we will certainly have them in the near future, even more so because conference drawn tourism is important for our country. These structures are especially important because in the year 2013 Lithuania will preside over the European Union. During this time period, we will have to organize more than 100 official meetings of various levels.
By the way, conferences are popular to be organized outside the city limits. Businessmen willingly choose the meeting places in nature – near the lakes, rivers or forests. The tendency shows up – it is work and rest in one. The tourism representatives of Baltic States state unanimously that as time goes by, the conference tourism takes an even more important plane between other branches of tourism.
