All foreigners, except European Union country residents, can get a tax refund. The size of this tax is 18%. Here are some important observations for those who want to use this service:
* buy in stores with the sign TAX FREE SHOPPING;
* the sum total of all purchases in one store cannot be less than 200 Lt.
( about 58 Eur.);
* in the store ask for a money return form and a tax invoice;
* don't forget to get a stamp on the invoice ( Vilnius air port, Šalčininkai, Medininkai, Kybartai, Panemunė border crossings);
* the cash money can be gotten in the nearest return point, you can get the money transferred to your account or you can get a bank check at your home address.
