The Castle Museum was opened in 2002. The renovated Prince Friedrich’s bastion poterns contain materials that will help the city guests to learn about the history of the city and the castle.
In the Lithuania Minor Historical Museum and the Castle Museum you can buy postcards with views of Klaipėda before the war as well as fragments of the current Old Town.
The Museum was established in a unique place where in the late 19th century there was the smithy of Gustavas Kackė, a metalwork specialist known in the whole Klaipeda region.
