Arriving at the Seaside
BY PLANE
The fastest and most comfortable way to arrive in Klaipėda and the seaside resorts is to travel by plane. There is an international airport in Palanga. You can arrive to Palanga if you take a direct flight from Hamburg, Oslo, Billund, Malmo, Stockholm, Goteborg, Kristianstad, Copenhagen, Ronneby, Berlin or Hannover.
The airport is only five kilometers away from the center of Palanga, and you can arrive there by your own car, bus, taxi or rented car. The bus route Airport – Palanga - Airport is available every day and every hour. A taxi trip to Palanga will cost about 20 Litas, and to Klaipėda about 60 Litas. In order to get from Palanga to Klaipėda (the distance is 25 km) you can also take a taxi or choose a cheaper trip by bus or minibus. Traveling by minibus is especially convenient because minibuses go from Palanga bus station every 15 or 20 minutes, and the ticket price is only 4 Litas (the same schedule and price apply to the trips from Klaipėda bus station to Palanga).
